Matt ‘Chopper’ Handley is known for terrorising backlines in Premier Section of the VAFA. However we came across this little interview that Chopper gave to Bowls Australia TV last week.
There might be other footballers in the VAFA who secretly moonlight as bowlers. There is no doubt that we have many ‘amateur’ bowlers who give it a go through work Christmas parties and summer BBQ’s at bowls clubs around Melbourne.
With Round 1 this Saturday set to have all our attention focused on the exploits of Chopper and the other stars of the competition, this might be the last chance you get to have a look at a sport other than football for the next 24 weeks (well except for the Masters from Augusta this weekend).
