This weekend is a huge weekend of VAFA action on radio.
It all starts tomorrow morning from 9am when the VAFA Football show on 96.5 Inner FM chats to Old Xaverians and VAFA rep side spearhead Matt Handley about his eight goal haul against the Queenslanders last weekend. Tom Penberthy – winner of Spirit of the Big V Award – will talk about the VAFA Under 23 triumph over Tasmania too. Also on the show is UHS-VU gun player Ryhs Kirk, De La Salle’s senior coach Paul Satterly will talk about his team’s one point win over St Bernard’s and new Saint and former SKOB assistant coach Peta Searle will talk about her short stint in the VAFA and her transition to the AFL. Then stick around for special guest Mark Robinson from the Herald Sun and AFL 360 to talk about his days at North Old Boys and we are sure he will give his latest insight to the Essendon situation.
Then for the first time from 1.45pm Inner FM will broadcast from the University Oval for the match between the rampagin University Blues and St Kevin’s Old Boys. The team will have all the around the ground scores from all the matches throughout the day too.
On Sunday from 9am, it’s VAFA Sunday on 88.3 Southern FM. Join Macca and Tommy Brain as they take a look back on all the scores and best players from the previous day.
Sunday night from 6pm, turn your dial to 98.9 North West Fm and join Glenn ‘Scatters’ Scarborough as he wraps up the weekend that was in the VAFA.
It’s great to have a full weekend of footy back and you can hear it all this weekend across our community broadcasting partners.
