The VAFA Football Operations department would like to confirm that there will be two changes to previously published VAFA Finals Venues next week.
The Division 1 Grand Final between Williamstown CYMS and Therry Penola will now be hosted at Carlton’s Visy Park on Sunday 14th September at 2.30pm. The Division 1 Reserves Grand Final featuring Therry Penola and Prahran Assumption will preceed the senior grand final at 12.00.
The other change will be the U19 Section 2 Grand Final between University Blues and Old Trinity. This match will now be played at Bulleen Park Oval No 1 at 12.00 on Saturday 13th September.
These changes were made because the ground only became available today. The VAFA always endeavours to schedule grand finals at the best available venues.
All clubs were contacted prior to confirming the changes and all clubs were delighted with the new arrangements.
Due to the Division 1 Grand Final now being played at a premium venue the entry prices have also changed.
Entry to the Division 1 Grand Finals will be as follows.
Adults: $15
Concession: $10 (Health Care Card Holders, Student Concession Holders, Children U16 Only)
Children U12 and Pensioners: Free
Also given the U19 Section 2 Grand Final will now be played at Bulleen Park, the VAFA is delighted to announce that entry to this match will be free for all spectators.
