Just one game separates third and sixth after Round 11 of Premier Men’s action. Ladder leaders Old Brighton saw off a stiff challenge to their 14-game winning streak at Brighton
Parkdale Vultures launched their 2015 season with the help of former three times premiership player and captain of the Brisbane Lions Jonathan Brown recently.
With a capacity crowd of 250 people in attendance, the night had a massive buzz about it even before Brown entered the building.
With Brown as the special guest, he didn’t disappoint as the headline act. Brown enthralled the crowd with some interesting and amusing stories about his life and times at the Brisbane Lions including some of the pivotal, behind the scenes, moments in the three premierships.
Brown was happy to take photos with fans and supporters and auction off a few items of memorabilia, all in all, he was a great sport.
The Vultures are back in Premier B for the second time in their history after only a brief one year stay in 2013. Despite losing the 2014 Premier C Grand Final to Hampton Rovers, the Vultures believe they are far better prepared this time around.
Good luck to everyone involved at the Vultures and well done to all who helped organise their season launch and build some momentum for the club in 2015.
