SOCIALS WRAP: Week 1
VAFA footy is officially back for 2026 with old rivalries, big performances and next-level highlights. Newly minted skipper and 2025 MacInnes Medallist Mia Cowan was up to her usual tricks,
The VAFA have released the updated Division 3 fixture for the remainder of the 2015 season. In an effort to assist all clubs with their season preparations of club lunches etc, the Football Operations team have managed to alter the fixture whereby very few changes to original have been made.
The fixtures changes were brought about by St Francis Xavier moving to Club XVIII Section 2.
All clubs will now have a bye in their match that was scheduled to be played against St Francis Xavier, whilst the changes to the original fixture can be summarised as follows:
Round 2:
Round 10
Round 11
Round 14
General Manager of Football Operations, Brian Goodman, said the limited changes were a great result in the circumstances.
“Given that it was a 12 team competition and not everyone played each other twice it allowed us to only make a few changes that meant we retained the integrity of the fixture.”
“All teams will now have eight home and eight away matches, with two byes over the course of the season,” Goodman said.
Aquinas will now open their season away to UHS-VU after having the first bye in Round 1.
