Kew and Ormond continue to set the standard in Division 1 as both sides had wins to be undefeated after four rounds.
Ormond travelled to the up and down St Mary’s Salesian and on this occasion, the Saints had another of those down days as they succumbed to the Monders by 69 points. The loss was one of the worst suffered by the Saint on their home deck in quite some time. Ormond showed little remorse as Rob Chisholm booted six goals and Sam Mason booted four goals in the win that has them top of the ladder after four rounds.
Kew are the other high flyers and the Bears made light work of Old Mentonians handing the Panthers a 66 point loss. Rob Maibaum was chief protagonist this week as he booted 10 majors in the win. Andrew Brazzale forced to the supporting role with just the four goals this week.
North Old Boys/St Pat’s levelled their season at 2-2 after they defeated Whitefriars by 42 points at the Gillon. The game was in the balance at three quarter time but NOBs slammed on seven goals in the final term to run out easy winners. Horsely led the way with four goals in the win.
Old Geelong did it easy in their 72 point win over Yarra Valley at Como Park. The OG’s were led by Jack McMeel who bagged four goals in the win that takes them to third at 3-1. The Bushrangers are the only side without a win in Division 1 this year.
Prahran Assumption are finally on the board after a series of near misses. The Two Blues defeated Bulleen Templestowe by 53 points as they returned to Toorak Park for the first time in 2015.
