Canterbury piled on 19 second-half goals as they belted Mt Lilydale by 105 points at Canterbury Sports Ground. With scores level at half-time, the Cobras decided to launch into action as they ran riot for 19 goals while the Rams could manage only three. James Wilson kicked seven majors for the first-placed Cobras.
Manningham Cobras made light work of South Mornington in their Division Four clash, smashing the Tigers by 116 points at Citation Oval. In a game which should have been a lot closer on paper, the Cobras snapped a four-game losing streak thanks to six majors from Daniel Wills.
Chadstone registered their first win for the 2015 season with a 27-point victory against Masala at Jordan Reserve. Jake Farrugia kicked seven goals for the cellar-dwellers who will use this win as a confidence boost in the second half of the season.
North Brunswick showed no mercy as they ended their three-game winless streak with a 41-point win against Parkside at Pitcher Park. The fifth-placed Bulls led from start to finish, with Jarryd Dimarco starring in a best-on-ground performance.
Box Hill North went scoreless in the last quarter and gave up a 15-point three-quarter time lead to lose to Westbourne Grammarians by 14 points at Westbourne School Ground. Johns and Ferrie kicked three goals apiece for the Warriors who truly lived up to their name with the gutsy win.
