Caulfield Grammarians claimed the U19 Section 2 premiership with a 24-point win against Parkdale Vultures at Trevor Barker Oval.
It was a red-hot start for the Fields, kicking four goals to one in the opening term. However, the lead was short-lived as the Vultures rallied to reduce the margin to three points at the half.
The final two quarters were played on the Fields’ terms, kicking eight goals to four and earning themselves a well-deserved grand final win.
Jesse Toniolo dominated for the Fields, earning himself best on ground honours with three-goal stars Finn McEvoy and Lachlan Topp.
James Clark and Jack Vorbach stood tall for the Vultures as they compiled a multitude of disposals in a bid to swing the match in their side’s favour.
It’s a sensational victory for the Fields after they finished the home and away season in fourth position with 11 wins from their 18 matches.
