Falcons, Power House rolling in Division 3

44 scoring shots to 11 helped Hawthorn to a monster 128-point win against UHS-VU at Rathmines Reserve over the weekend. Sam Gold continued his stunning form for the Hawks, kicking five goals and doing his Division 3 best and fairest chances no harm. Russel White chipped in with four, while Ben Ryan and Ryan Smith registered two each for the Vultures.

Glen Eira remains hot on the Hawks’ heals after they recorded a 54-point win against South Melbourne Districts at Lindsay Hassett Oval. Alex Erwin-Ross kicked four goals and took his overall 2016 tally to 25 from seven matches, while Elliot Costello snagged two fore the fifth-placed Swans.

Swinburne University kept Aquinas to just one goal for the day as they ran out 41-point victors at Aquinas College. Ben Higgins kicked three goals and dominated in a best-on-ground performance for the Razorbacks, while Michael Di Donato kicked the one and only major for the Bloods.

Power House recorded their most impressive win for the season with a 104-point victory over Elsternwick at Sportscover Arena. Declan Nannery, Matt Devine and Fiachra O’Deasmhunaigh kicked four goals each for Power House, while goal-kicking sensation Justin Hunter snagged four for the Wicks.

La Trobe University made it five wins on the trot as they defeated Canterbury by 65 points at Canterbury Sports Ground. Mitch Gleeson and Liam Guy combined for nine goals, while Tom Lowden snagged two for the Cobras.
