Box Hill North made it two wins in a row when they defeated Masala by 68 points at Elgar Park. Steve Lester and Damon Earp combined for six goals for the Demons, while David Crkvenac snagged two of the Tigers’ six. The Demons sit in seventh spot on the Division 4 ladder, one win and one position above the Tigers.
North Brunswick registered their fifth win of season 2016 when they defeated Chadstone by 199 points at Jordan Reserve. Thomas Cotton had a day out on his way to 12 goals, while Peter Butler (six) and Patrick Notaro (five) nailed 11 between them for the Bulls. Leigh Perry kicked two of the Synner’s three goals for the day.
Mt Lilydale will take the confidence of their 10-point win against Point Cook into the latter part of the season and beyond as they proved too strong at Mt Lilydale Mercy College Sporting Fields. Daniel Dimitriou starred in a BOG performance for the Rams, and Robbie Milne kicked two and was named best for the Dogs.
Westbourne Grammarians notched up their seventh 100+ point win for the season as they defeated Eley Park Sharks by 102 at Westbourne Grammar. Dale Collins kicked four goals for the Warriors, and Chris Hudson was best afield for the second time from the past three games. Alastair Renshaw dug deep for the Sharks but to no avail as they remain a game clear in fourth.
