Take a look back at 2025 VAFA William Buck Premier Men’s Grand Final day at Elsternwick Park, as Old Brighton defeated Old Scotch to claim their first top-flight Premiership.
St Mary’s Salesian secured a grand final spot & their first trip to Premier C with a 15-point win over Ormond in their Division 1 second semi-final. With scores tied at 47 apiece at the half-time break and just three points at three quarter time, the Saints kicked 3.8 to Ormond’s 2.2 in the fourth as Ben Andrews led from the front with a best-on-ground display. Daniel Ryan’s season continues to go from strength-to-strength with the Saints’ forward kicking four goals and making it 48 from his 12 senior games. Isaiah Tahana and Luke Duthie recorded three each for the Monders as they now prepare for a preliminary final clash with PEGS.
A nine-goal haul from Adrian Romanyk led PEGS to a comprehensive 73-point elimination final victory against Oakleigh at Sportscover Arena. With 12 points separating the two sides at the last break, the Bombers exploded with 10 unanswered goals in the final term. Trent Skurrie chipped in with four goals while Robert Baddeley gave his midfielders first use of the ball all day. No information had been submitted for Oakleigh but they finish a sensational season with 12 wins and a finals appearance. The Bombers will now face Ormond next week after both sides went 1-1 throughout the home and away season.
