Congratulations to Old Brighton young gun, Jess Balleggi, who has received the Round 9 Anytime Fitness Rising Star nomination for her outstanding performance in the Tonners’ 43-point win over Old Carey on the weekend.
What the club said:
“Jess played football at school during year 12 as a Saturday sport requirement. This is Jess’ first year of senior football.
Jess chose to play football as she always watched her brother play on Saturday at Old Brighton as well as her cousin playing in AFL.
She has similarities with Charlie Curnow as she is fast, strong, and agile. Great defensive pressure and an ability to bring other team mates into the game.
Jess always has a big smile and always enjoys herself.”
