
From formation to A-Grade: Old Geelong Women’s makes history
Old Geelong Football Club opened its 2025 season in historic fashion, with its women’s side marking their first year in the William Buck Premier competition with two wins straight out
The VAFA wishes to advise there has been a venue change for the William Buck Premier, Premier Reserve and Division 2 women’s preliminary finals on Sunday.
Due to ground conditions and the predicted weather forecast, the three games will no longer be played at Bill Lawry Oval and instead take place at Burbank Oval in Williamstown.
We thank the City of Hobsons Bay and Williamstown Football Club for allowing the VAFA to host matches on their premium VFL-quality facility.
All games will be played at the times originally fixtured and can be found below:

Division 2 Preliminary Final: Old Ivanhoe vs Whitefriars, 10am at Burbank Oval
Premier Reserve Preliminary Final: MUWFC vs Fitzroy ACU, 12pm at Burbank Oval
William Buck Premier: MUWFC vs Kew, 2pm at Burbank Oval
