The VAFA congratulates Sam Cameron from St Kevin’s OB who has been named the Round 12 Men’s Rising Star following his impressive performance during SKOB’s 40-point win over Old Xaverians.
What the club said:
“Sam is a past St Kevin’s student who played Under 19s in 2016 and made his senior debut in 2018 – including the 2018 William Buck Premier flag.
He plays like a young Luke Hodge across half back who can go into the middle of the ground when needed. A highly-skilled and tough competitor who rarely gets beaten in a 1v1 contest. Has a great ability to play in different positions. Being hard at the ball, one of the best young leaders at the club and someone who doesn’t mind a bit of niggle on field.
He is also known for his unwavering and passionate support for North Melbourne. Sam is a real ladies man. They seem to love those long blonde locks of his.”
