VAFA clubs are leading from the front in the race to donate blood as part of the Red Cross Red25 Blood Challenge.
West Brunswick, Preston Bullants, Melbourne University WFC, Westbourne Grammarians and Brunswick FC have each registered to take part in the campaign, with the Westies and MUWFC currently holding the top two spots on the Victorian Football and Netball Clubs leader board.
The leader board collates whole blood and plasma donations, and allows you to see the difference being made with the number of lives saved. For instance, the top two sides have currently combined to save 51 lives from their 17 donations.
The challenge runs from 1 July – 30 September and you can help save lives and support our clubs by donating blood or plasma.
To add to the total, head to donateblood.com.au to register/book an appointment and simply click on the teams tab and join a campaign.
