
From formation to A-Grade: Old Geelong Women’s makes history
Old Geelong Football Club opened its 2025 season in historic fashion, with its women’s side marking their first year in the William Buck Premier competition with two wins straight out
The VAFA Board today announced the appointment of Mr Peter Grant as its acting CEO, effective immediately.
Peter joins the VAFA with significant involvement in community sport, especially within the VAFA, spanning 45 years as a former player, administrator and coach.
Peter also has an extensive business background and strong administrative skills that will provide valuable assistance, guidance, and support across the VAFA.
VAFA President George Voyage said “The Board thank Peter and welcome him into this critical role, as the Board undertakes the process of appointing a new CEO. An extensive recruitment process will commence immediately and we are confident of securing an outstanding candidate to lead the Association forward. Peter has advised the Board that he is not a candidate for the permanent CEO position”.
The Board would like to thank member clubs, commercial partners, suppliers, and most importantly our administration team for their support during this transitional period.
