The VAFA has determined section structures for the 2023 season for William Buck Premier Men’s, Premier B Men’s and Premier C Men’s.
The section structures reflect the VAFA’s communicated position from the start of the season that all sections in the Men’s Premier Competition will return to 10 teams per section for season 2023.
Section structures for all remaining Men’s and Women’s competitions will be finalised and announced in the coming weeks. Factoring in lessons learnt from the team entry and fixturing processes from the 2022 season, it is incumbent on the VAFA to seek further information from clubs before finalising the remaining sections.
The VAFA needs to be satisfied that teams will remain sustainable and competitive across the duration of a season before they are allocated and fixtured into a particular section. Consultation with some clubs regarding those matters has already commenced and other clubs will similarly be contacted shortly.
