Old Xaverians will begin their Centenary season in style with a home game at Xavier College against long-time rivals Collegians. The red and black mafia and the purple army were the two sides to feature in September in 2022, both falling short to Old Brighton in pursuit of a spot in the 2022 William Buck Premier Men’s Grand Final.
A long off-season has followed with big name recruits pulling on the red and black, while we’re expecting the Lions to be just as exhilarating to watch in 2023, just as they were last year.
Join Joe Pignataro, Josh Heriot and Mick Comerford for all the action from Xaverier College with the Saturday warm-up at 1pm, followed by the first bounce at 2pm.
To hear the coverage live and uninterrupted, tune into RSN Extra 2 on your digital radio, download the RSN927 App or TuneIn App, or stream directly via the VAFA website.
Get the yellow sherrin out for Division 3 Men’s to kick-start the season for Wattle Park AFC and Elsternwick.
The Animals have made a name change over the pre-season, moving from Emmaus St Leos to Wattle Park. Playing host to one of the highly fancied sides in Division 3 Men’s, can they make a stamp on the competition from the first bounce, and make their presence felt at Bennettswood Sports Ground?
Join Tim Barbakos, Geoff Koop and Aiden Box for all the action from 4.30pm before the first bounce at 4.45pm.
The VAFA’s oldest club faces off against the VAFA’s newest member in a Sunday double-header blockbuster to kick-off VAFA’s new three-year partnership with News Corp. Melbourne Uni Women’s have been drawn to welcome the Coburg Lions into the competition.
After what’s felt like the longest pre-season, the Lions will be out to make themselves known to the William Buck Premier Women’s competition as a genuine force to be reckoned with, while Melbourne Uni will be smarting after falling short in their 2022 campaign of the Grand Final.
The exclusive KommunityTV live stream double-header kicks-off with the Reserves match at 11:45am, followed by the Seniors at 2pm. New subscribers to KommunityTV can access a special introductory offer of $1 a week for the first 12 weeks.
