The Premier B Women’s fixture has been released for the 2025 season. New club Port Melbourne Chargers will host Old Melburnians in their historic first home game at JL Murphy
The excitement is building as the VAFA has unveiled the start times for the 2023 Big V Representative Games.
On Saturday, July 15, the Senior Women’s team will kick-off the action at 11:00 AM, followed by the Senior Men’s side taking the field at 2:00 PM. These thrilling matchups against the Perth Football League will take place at the home of VAFA footy, Elsternwick Park.
The VAFA Big V Representative Games are a pinnacle event that showcases the finest talent within the association. For the first time since 2019, players from various clubs will come together to represent the VAFA in the iconic Big V jumper.
Last week, Senior Women’s coach Paul Groves and Senior Men’s coach Greg Hutchison revealed their respective Big V squads. These coaches have carefully selected their squads based on skill, form, and teamwork that’s been on display across the opening nine weeks of the season.
Tickets for the Big V Representative Games are now available for purchase on the VAFA website. Spectators are encouraged to secure their tickets early, with the matches set to provide a great experience for all in attendance.
The action-packed day will commence with the Senior Women’s team taking the field at 11:00 AM. Three times the Senior Women’s side has taken to the field, for three wins. Most notably the 151 point win over AFL Goldfields the last time representative footy was played.
Following the women’s game, at 2:00 PM, the Senior Men’s team take centre stage against the Perth FL, hellbent on redemption after losing to AFL Vic Country in 2019. This will be the 173rd time the prestigious Big V has taken to the field with a winning record of 82%.
