As the VAFA prepares to face off against the Perth Football League (PFL), the spotlight extends beyond the players to include the umpires tasked with officiating on the Big V representative stage.
The VAFA congratulates the following umpires appointed to these games taking place on Sunday 7th July at Steel Blue Oval in Perth.
Perth FL v VAFA (William Buck Premier Men’s) – Perth

The VAFA also celebrates the following umpires appointed to representative games at Elsternwick Park on Saturday 6th of July.
Holmesglen VAFA Under 19 Showcase: North vs South
Field Umpires – Woody Wanless, Hugh Florance and Patrick Lynch
Boundary Umpires – Jess Styan and Lucas Kennedy
Goal Umpires – Sullivan Hendrickson and Jesse Rawack
VAFA Premier B – Division 3 vs Bendigo Football Netball League

Boundary Umpires – Dylan Rawack and Xavier Hendy
Goal Umpires – Patrick Newson and Nicholas Toohey
It’s crucial to recognise and appreciate the pivotal role umpires play in representative football. These matches highlight the depth of umpire talent within the VAFA and provide a platform for emerging umpires to demonstrate their skills on the representative stage.
We wish all appointed umpires a great game whether it be blowing the whistle, running the boundary or waiving the flags in the goals.
Tickets can be purchased here for Saturday’s representative football double-header at Elsternwick Park, with the Holmesglen Under 19 Showcase commencing at 11:40am, followed by the VAFA vs Bendigo FNL at 2:10pm.
