The VAFA congratulates Lily Harris from Melbourne University Women’s Football Club, who has received the Anytime Fitness Rising Star nomination for Round 11. Lily has impressed both on and off the field. In her first year at the club, she has delivered on game day but also become a favourite amongst the team for her infectious attitude.
What the club said:
This is Lily’s first year at MUWFC, and she moved up from Geelong over the off-season to attend Melbourne University. Lily has immediately made an impact at MUWFC with her infectious smile and love of the game. Even when it’s raining and freezing cold Lily will still be at training with a smile on her face getting everyone up and about. Lily shows great leadership and maturity for her age, and we see her achieving big things at MUWFC.
Lily is a versatile player with a huge tank and an unbeatable attitude, she has made a home for herself on the wing. Her hard running and second efforts are key features of her game and make her a tough opponent for anyone.
MUWFC are incredibly proud Lily and can’t wait to see where her football journey takes her!
