In 2024, 52 VAFA clubs have registered for the Toyota Good for Footy Raffle, and with just over a month left to go, have raised a collective total of $54,350 for their respective clubs.
Mazenod OC FC is leading the way with $17,595 raised to date, this sits Mazenod 3rd overall in Australia.
When speaking to VAFA Media, Mazenod OC FC President Craig Todd spoke about how the club has worked to generate so much engagement with the raffle.
“Like all community sporting clubs, at Mazenod we need to generate significant revenue to cover the costs of putting our teams on the park each week. We do this by annual player subs, financial support from sponsors and coterie members, as well as through social events. Each year we also focus on the Toyota Good For Footy Raffle as an additional method of raising critical funds – as well as presenting the opportunity to promote one of our long-term and much valued sponsors, Waverley Toyota, in our weekly Newsletter and also on our social media platforms. The Toyota GFFR is a great way to raise additional funds, with every dollar raised from ticket sales going directly to our Club, as well as presenting the opportunity to win a car or other great prizes.”
In 2023 VAFA clubs raised a total of $35,000. So, with a month to go, VAFA clubs have already surpassed the 2023 figure and are looking to break through the $60,000 funds raised marker.
If your club has already signed up to the Toyota Good for Footy Raffle, the remaining home games of the season serve as an opportune time to rattle those virtual tins.
If your club hasn’t signed up then please do so through the Toyota Good for Footy Raffle website, with the Raffle still open for another month.
The top 3 major prizes are Toyota Vehicles valued up to $65,000 including a Toyota Kluger, Toyota Corolla Cross and Toyota Corolla.
All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to clubs and the funds raised can be used for any purposes the club desires.
If you’d like to purchase a ticket for the Raffle, please head to the Toyota Good for Footy Raffle website, select the VAFA club you’d like the funds to go to and buy as many tickets as you’d like.
