May Community Coach of the Month Award
At the VAFA, we’re proud to recognize the incredible efforts of coaches who give their all to support their clubs and live out the values of our community. Every month,
The VAFA has partnered with the Good Friday Appeal (GFA) in 2024 to help raise much needed funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital and those who utilise its services.
During the VAFA Finals series GFA donation tins for coin donations and QR codes for digital donations will be available at all VAFA finals games, with an option to donate to the campaign when purchasing finals tickets online and at the gate also available.
In addition to these opportunities the Good Friday Appeal and the VAFA will be running a raffle for a lucky VAFA community member to have a bespoke, framed poster created by renowned artist Mark Knight.
Mark Knight is best known for his cartoons in the Herald Sun, through his role as Editorial cartoonist. Mark has also created the iconic Herald Sun Premiership posters for AFL clubs.
Once the raffle is drawn, the winner (in consultation with their chosen football club) can discuss with Mark Knight on how they’d like their club depicted.
This unique piece of artwork can become a cherished piece of memorabilia.
Raffle tickets can be purchased through the below link for $10 per ticket with all the proceeds going directly to the Good Friday Appeal.
The raffle closes on 15th October at 11:59pm (unless sold out prior). Please see the above link for all relevant Terms & Conditions.
