The VAFA congratulates Emily Tassiopoulos from Old Scotch, who has received the Anytime Fitness Rising Star nomination for Round 19. Emily is a dynamic midfielder who has proven a handy shot on goal as well. Playing just seven matches with the Scotch Stars this season she has been named amongst the best on five of those occasions.
What the club said:
Em is an absolute delight to coach. She has been a part of the Scotch Stars program throughout my 3 years as senior coach and I have been delighted with the progress she has made not only as a player but as a strong contributor to our culture.
Em is clearly a talented player and prepares diligently to be the best she can be. She is driven and as a player is capable of playing a variety of roles both as an inside and outside mid, and also as a key position player.
Em is listed with Essendon as part of their VFLW program after having enjoyed premiership success with the Oakleigh Chargers in 2023.
We congratulate Em who is clearly a worthy recipient of the VAFA Rising Star recognition.
