VAFA launches Women’s Academy Series
The VAFA is thrilled to announce that, for the first time in League history, a Women’s Academy Series will be played to provide talented youngsters with the opportunity to feature
The VAFA is saddened by the passing of Ormond legend and life member Greg Holman.
Lovingly known as ‘Flame,’ Greg served the Monders as a player and official for more than 50 years.
A premiership player, Greg was the club’s longest-serving committee member (alongside Greg Fisher at an incredible 34 years) and his lifetime of selfless service was recognised with the VAFA 125th Anniversary Medal in 2017 and the VAFA Certificate of Merit in 2018.
The Holman family invite you to join them in celebrating Greg’s life at Woodlands Golf Club on Tuesday January 21 at 2pm. After the service, there will be a gathering to share memories until 6pm with refreshments provided.
Parking will be limited, with overflow parking available in Bradshaw St.
Feel free to don your Ormond or Melbourne scarf, which would put a smile on Greg’s face.
Heart-and-soul characters like Greg represent the true soul of the VAFA – loyal, passionate, dedicated and selfless.
The entire VAFA community sends its deepest condolences to Greg’s family and all who loved him.
