The 2025 VAFA William Buck Premier Women’s fixture has been updated and re-released, due to the following team changes:
WILLIAMSTOWN CYMS move from Premier B to William Buck Premier Women’s.
COLLEGIANS move from William Buck Premier Women’s to Premier B.
As a result, the entire fixture has been rescheduled, given Collegians’ previous fixture would not work for Williamstown CYMS due to ground availabilities.
And CYMS will step straight into the fire, hosting reigning champions Old Scotch at Loft Reserve in Round 1 on Saturday, April 5.
2024 Premier B champions Old Geelong will also need to hit the ground running as they face three of last season’s four finalists in the opening month.
The other promoted team, Fitzroy, will also get an early opportunity to test themselves against a couple of 2024 finalists as they visit Kew in Round 1, then visit St Kevin’s in Round 3.
We won’t have to wait long for the much-anticipated Grand Final rematch between Old Scotch and St Kevin’s, who will clash in a Round 2 blockbuster at Camberwell Sportsground that will also see the Stars unfurl their 2024 premiership flag.
Round 3 will feature a big day for Old Geelong, who will host both a Women’s and Men’s double-header against Caulfield Grammarians in a bumper day of action at Como Park.
Round 6 will showcase Fitzroy’s annual Indigenous clash with a pre-game smoking ceremony ahead of their clash with Willy CYMS.
The mid-season double-bye will once again be a feature of the fixture, with a three-week gap between Rounds 12 and 13, allowing for the Big V Rep weekend followed by a bye.
The final round of the home & away season will take place on August 30-31, followed by a three-week Premier Women’s Finals campaign culminating with Grand Final Day on the weekend of September 20-21.
All William Buck Premier Women’s home & away matches will be filmed & available on-demand at VAFA.com.au during the week, while all finals matches will once again be live-streamed on Kommunity TV.
