This July, the VAFA proudly joins AFL Victoria in celebrating Women’s Coaching Month, now in its fifth year. The 2025 theme, “Champions of Change,” recognises the powerful role women and
St Kevin’s have pipped 2024 William Buck Premier Men’s & Women’s premiers Old Scotch in a thrilling Club Championship count to win a third consecutive award for the club.
The VAFA Club Championship has been awarded since 1986 to reward the top-performing club during the home & away season across all teams.
Points are currently accumulated via the following scoring model during the home and away season:
St Kevin’s & Old Scotch’s Senior Men’s & Women’s teams ended up locked together on a combined 116 points.
SKOB’s Men’s Reserves & Under 19’s teams ultimately proved to be the deciding factor, getting them over the line for a third straight win, with a record-breaking 217 points – just 5 clear of the Cardinals.
“On behalf of St Kevin’s Old Boys Football Club, we are very honoured to win the VAFA Club Championship Award for the third year in a row and fifth time overall,” said St Kevin’s President, Patrick Mount.
“We are particularly proud that this award recognises the strong results of our men’s, women’s and Under 19’s sides and “whole of club” contribution.”
Old Brighton finished third due to not having a Women’s Reserves team to collect points, with Hampton Rovers and Kew rounding out the Top 5.
