VAFA seeks Board Directors

The Victorian Amateur Football Association is seeking expressions of interest for director positions on the VAFA Board.

Founded in 1892, the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) has proudly established itself as a national leader in community-level football. As we continue to grow and evolve, we invite expressions of interest for three voluntary Non-Executive Board positions: two appointed Board Director roles and one Board Director casual vacancy. 

These Board positions play a pivotal role in supporting the VAFA’s leadership team and contributing to the delivery of our strategic plan. 

We are looking for experienced and passionate individuals with expertise in the following areas: 

• Human Resources 
• Governance
• Commercial
• Finance

Position Overview: 

• Appointed Director positions are for one-year terms, with each term concluding at the AGM in December.

• Casual Vacancy will be filled for the term extending to the AGM in December 2025.  

• Directors are eligible to stand for election at the AGM in December 2025 to secure a three-year term. 

• Appointed Directors are eligible for reappointment for up to three consecutive one-year terms. 

• All Directorships on the VAFA Board are volunteer positions.
