2025 William Buck Premier Men’s Grand Final Day
Take a look back at 2025 VAFA William Buck Premier Men’s Grand Final day at Elsternwick Park, as Old Brighton defeated Old Scotch to claim their first top-flight Premiership.
The VAFA congratulates Kensley Ward from Westbourne Grammarians Football Club who has been nominated as the Round 1 Anytime Fitness Rising Star. Kensley was nominated after an impressive 8-goal haul in a dominant performance in just her third senior match!
What the club said:
Westbourne senior women’s coach Chris Grant was full of praise for the young forward, saying:
“Kensley is a strong-bodied, powerful medium-sized forward with excellent hands in the air and a beautiful kick of the football. She has come through our junior programs and is now starting to adjust to the experienced and mature bodies of the senior women’s competition.”
Having developed her craft in the club’s junior pathways, Kensley also gained valuable experience at reserves level throughout the 2024 season. Now stepping up to senior footy, her Round 1 performance is a sign of big things to come.
Congratulations, Kensley!
