The Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) is proud to announce the extension of its partnership with Carruthers Executive, reaffirming a shared commitment to the development and recognition of community football coaches across the competition.
Carruthers Executive will continue as the naming rights for the prestigious VAFA Community Coach of the Month and Community Coach of the Year awards.
VAFA CEO Jason Reddick said the continued support from Stuart Carruthers through Carruthers Executive highlights the importance of backing those who dedicate their time and energy to community sport.
“Coaches play a pivotal role in leading our clubs,” said Reddick.
“This partnership recognises their profound influence in shaping not just footballers, but great people. There is great synergy in having Carruthers Executive’s ongoing support to allow us to celebrate the outstanding leading coaches throughout the season.”
Stuart Carruthers, CEO and Founder of Carruthers Executive, expressed pride in the ongoing partnership with VAFA.
“We’re thrilled to continue supporting the VAFA and to be directly involved in recognising those making a real difference in grassroots football,” said Carruthers.
“Community coaches inspire, lead, and build culture – their contribution deserves acknowledgment.”
The primary criteria for the Carruthers Executive Community Coach of the Month Award are based on inspiring stories of leadership, dedication and impact.
The Carruthers Executive Community Coach of the Month will be awarded throughout the 2025 season, with winners celebrated across VAFA’s digital and media platforms.
At season’s end, one men’s and one women’s coach will be named the Carruthers Executive Community Coaches of the Year.
In 2024, Megan Corser (Kew) and Jarrod Gieschen (Old Ivanhoe) received this prestigious award and some very worthy candidates have already been nominated in 2025.
The winners of the Carruthers Executive Community Coaches of the Year Award will be announced and celebrated at the VAFA’s annual Season Awards in October.
