VAFA’s live Round 14 coverage features three William Buck Premier Men’s Saturday afternoon clashes, plus a Premier Women’s double-header blockbuster!

Kick off your VAFA Saturday with our KommunityTV live-stream – a William Buck Premier Women’s double-header as the two powerhouse teams of recent seasons – St Kevin’s and Old Scotch write the next chapter in their incredible rivalry at Righetti Oval.

St Kevin’s won a hat-trick of premierships from 2019 to 2023, before Old Scotch knocked them off to win the flag in 2024. But this season, they’ve both been trumped thus far by the unbeaten Caulfield Grammarians, who are a couple games clear on top of the table, meaning that THIS game might decide who ends up with the double chance, and who finishes third and cops a cut-throat Semi Final!

This week’s SEN VAFA Match of the Day sees University Blacks host De La Salle at Melbourne Uni.

The mid-year revival of Uni Blacks has been one of the stories of the season in Premier Men’s. They’ve won 6 of their last 8, including victories over St Kevin’s and Old Brighton. They enter Round 14 in fifth spot, one game behind SKOB and the Bloods, with a mixed run home that will see them face St Kevin’s and Old Xavs, plus a few teams below them – De La, the Blues and Cardinals. They need to bank the points against the teams below to put pressure on the teams above. But this might just be the worst weekend to have faced De La Salle all season, given they are coming off their best performance in leading the Snowdogs until the 31-minute mark of the last quarter. Can De La take the next step and come up with their breakthrough win this weekend?

The time is now for the 2024 premiers. Can they bring down the league-leaders and remain within striking distance of the Top 4? Or will Xavs rack up an eighth straight win and potentially scuttle the Cards’ premiership defence?
