Here’s a look at some of the Week 17 social media highlights across VAFA grounds, which featured Premier B Men’s Showcase Round and a big weekend of Finals.
All five Premier B Men’s matches were live streamed simultaneously for the first time (and the VAFA Megawall was introduced), and it disappoint with the some super games. At Chelsworth Park, Old Geelong beat ladder-leaders Old Ivanhoe to keep their season alive.
At Bulleen, Charlie Connell-Tobin kicked the game winner for Old Carey 33 minutes into the final quarter, as they defeated Williamstown CYMS by three points.
In William Buck Premier Men’s, Darcy Chirgwin booted a goal from 60 metres as the Blues beat the Blacks in the University derby.
Great scenes in Division 4 Women’s as Fitzroy won their elimination final by 21 points.
Also great scenes for Whitefriars where their Under 19’s won their first game of the season in their final game of the season.
