It’s wall-to-wall finals on VAFA Media this weekend, headlined by a SUPER SATURDAY SEMI-FINAL QUADRUPLE-HEADER on Kommunity TV!
Here are the details & stream links for your viewing pleasure.
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 6
How does ten hours of live finals footy sound for your VAFA Saturday?
Our KommunityTV live streamQUADRUPLE HEADER showcases TWO Premier Women’s Semi Finals & TWO Holmesglen Under 19 Premier Semi Finals from across Melbourne:-
First up, two fascinating WILLIAM BUCK PREMIER WOMEN’S SEMI FINALS.
In recent seasons, it’s been a two-horse race between St Kevin’s & Old Scotch – but this season, Caulfield exploded onto the scene & rocketed past them both to claim the minor premiership!
This has completely changed the dynamic of the Premier Women’s Finals series, because at least one of them ISN’T going to make it to Grand Final Day.
First up, the three-time champions will face the Bears, who scraped into fourth position on percentage.
The Saints will enter as warm favourites, but their two meetings this season were decided by just 4 points (Round 5) and 10 points (Round 10), so the Bears will fancy their chances of pulling off a major upset when it matters most.
It’s do or die for the Saints & Bears. Here’s our VAFA Media preview.
Then, the top 2 lock horns as CAULFIELD GRAMMARIANS, who were belted by OLD SCOTCH to the tune of 50 points in last season’s Preliminary Final, get their shot at winning straight through to Grand Final Day.
Both these teams have dropped just two games all season – the Stars fell to Caulfield by 4 points in Round 7, while the Fields fell to Old Scotch in a 3-point Round 16 thriller.
Who will win straight through & avoid a tricky Preliminary Final? Here’s our VAFA Media preview.
Time to grab some quick lunch & turn our attention to the Holmesglen Under 19 Premier Semi Finals at Elsternwick Park:
These two teams played an epic Grand Final in 2024 – the Tonners sneaking home by 4 points in an absolute thriller. Now they clash for a ticket to the 2025 premiership decider.
Then a twilight spectacular as OLD SCOTCH face UNI BLUES under lights for the chance to progress to the Preliminary Final.
These two teams also met in the First Semi last year, with Old Scotch ending the Blues’ season in a tight one. The Blues would love nothing more than to return the favour!

The Blues bounced back by beating Whitefriars by 7 points in the Preliminary Final to set up another shot at the premiership favourites.
