Aquinas become new ladder leaders, Brunswick win Battle of Brunswick
Round 9 is in the books, and there was plenty of movement on the Division 4 Women’s ladder. Aquinas moved to top of the table, MUWFC claimed a major scalp
Power House was the dominant force in Division 3 Men’s throughout 2025, claiming the minor premiership and then winning the club’s first senior flag since 2006 in impressive style, defeating North Brunswick by 14 goals on Grand Final Day.
Wattle Park and Richmond Central also made the finals, with the Animals bowing out in straight sets after a 3-point Preliminary Final thriller.
Each VAFA Team of the Year is based on feedback and analysis provided by coaches, VAFA Media, commentators and umpires.
Our Division 3 Men’s reporter Nicholas Quinlan has compiled all this information and here is the Division 3 Men’s Team of the Year for 2025:

Premiers Power House had five selections, including Coach of the Year Nick Cox. He will lead a line-up that features four of his stars spread across various parts of the field – co-captains Luke Stubbs off half-back, and Ben Circosta on the ball, along with Mitch Newman on a wing, and Michael Timmons up forward.
Runners-up North Brunswick also have five representatives, and, like Power House, are scattered evenly around the ground. Adam Tsardakis is down back, with Nick Trewhella on a wing, Zac Dicianni (who finished third in the League B&F) on ball, Andrew Ramzy on a half-forward flank, and Elias Manne providing fresh legs.
Wattle Park received three selections, led by League Best & Fairest winner Harry Davis, who has been named captain of this team. Defender Zac Durrant and Nathan Bird are also representing the Animals in this line-up.
Box Hill North also have three representatives and all will play a pivotal role in this line-up, with the league’s leading goalkicker Blake Williams (85 goals) an obvious focal point up forward, Richie Keane holding down a key defensive slot and big Beau Parthenides starting in the ruck.
Richmond Central have two representatives, with a Snake lining up at either end of the ground – Sasha Araldi in a key defensive post, and Ben Young up forward.
The other five clubs all have one representative each: Simon Heather (Swinburne), Connor McCredden (La Trobe University), Zac Hayes (Eley Park), Hristos Millaras (Chadstone), and Thomas Wilson (Albert Park), who will start in the goalsquare after booting 58 goals for the season.
He and Blake Williams will be a real handful for any Div 3 defence, particularly considering the other attacking talent around them!
It’s a well-balanced team full of Division 3’s premier performers, and congratulations to everyone who made the line-up.
A Team of the Year from each senior VAFA section (plus Under 19 Premier) will be published on VAFA platforms over the coming weeks.
