What began last year as a one-off FOX FM Fifi, Fev and Nick promotion has returned in 2026 as a full-scale VAFA community event, with Fevolution II delivering a second chapter of star power, big crowds, and unforgettable moments, this time at Shark Park in Box Hill.
This year’s clash would see the Eley Park Sharks take on St Marys Salesian in a Thirds Division 5 Round 5 encounter, with Eley Park hosting the marquee event at their home ground, Shark Park.
This year’s edition once again featured former AFL superstar Brendan Fevola headlining the football action for Eley Park, with crowds arriving early to secure vantage points around the ground and soak up the festival atmosphere.
A new addition to this year’s spectacle was comedian Dave Hughes, who also pulled on the boots for the Sharks. Hughes flew in from Sydney for the match, made his presence felt on-field by famously slotting a goal, and then promptly flew back to Sydney post-game, adding another layer of entertainment to an already stacked day.

On the field, Eley Park produced a performance that matched the occasion, with Fevola once again proving a focal point inside 50. He finished with five goals in a display that carried flashes of brilliance reminiscent of his AFL days.
The match itself saw Eley Park fall just short against St Marys Salesian in a thrilling contest that swung across four quarters before being decided late, 79–75 in favour of the visitors. Despite the result, the scoreboard was secondary to the spectacle unfolding around the ground.
Thirds Division 5 – Round 5:
Eley Park Sharks 11.9 (75)
Def by
St Marys Salesian 11.13 (79)

Off the field, fans were treated to a halftime performance by Australian pop star Amy Shark, further lifting the community atmosphere. Club volunteers reported being “run off their feet”, with the canteen overwhelmed by demand as the crowd embraced the event.

Eley Park leadership reflected post-match on the continued impact of Fevolution II, noting that it had become more than just a game, but a major community showcase for the club and VAFA football more broadly.
As Fevolution II closes its chapter at Shark Park, attention already turns to whether a third edition could return in 2027?
