Old Scotch haver recorded their second win of the season in convincing fashion stamping their authority on St Bedes/Mentone Tigers with a six goal to one final quarter to win by 51 points in their ANZAC Day clash at Brindisi St.
In brilliant sunshine conditions the Tigers lead at quarter time before a five goal second quarter had the Cardinals leading by 15 points at the main break. It was a lead they would never relinquish.
St Bedes/Mentone kicked 9.23 in last week’s win over Old Carey and again today they missed opportunities to cut the margin, kicking 1.9 in the third term alone.
Mark Passador finished the game with four goals with Gene van den Broek and defender Sam Thompson named amongst the best for Old Scotch.
Old Scotch will be happy to return to the winners list as they take an 9 day break into their home match against Old Xaverians in round 4. St Bedes/Mentone Tigers have the tough task of a trip to University oval to take on the inform Blacks.
