In conjunction with VAFA partner, Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation, we are proud to announce Westbourne Grammarians player Agon Bahtiri as the VRGF Player of the Round.
Bahtiri epitomised the essence of amateur football when didn’t think twice about assisting an opposition player from the ground after he suffered concussion during his side’s Division 4 reserves match against Masala.
Whilst many Masala players were on hand to lend assistance, Bahtiri did not think twice as he showcased genuine concern for the player’s welfare and helped carry him from the field after arriving first at the scene.
2016 has been Bahtiri’s first season at Westbourne Grammarians after making the cross from soccer. From all reports at the game, it was indeed a special moment and highlighted what Amateur football is all about.
Bahtiri receives a special edition sherrin as the VRGF Player of the Round.
