Whitefriars OCFC started in 1986 with the great help of founding president, Chris Mason, and a motley assortment of players pulled from all potential sources. The College was quick to throw it’s support behind the old boys and provided the main ground to play on.
The Friars have five senior flags to their name but haven’t tasted senior premiership success since their 2002 Premier C victory. After a stretch of nine straight years in Division 1, the Friars suffered relegation at the end of 2017 and returned to Division 2 where they claimed the double senior and reserve flags in 2019. They entered a team into the VAFA women’s competition in 2018 and took home the Division 2 flag in their first year.
