The VAFA are delighted to announce that Parkside Football Club will return to the Association for the 2015 season and beyond. With the deadline for the Northern Football League to lodge an appeal to AFL Victoria having passed, Parkside are free to rejoin the VAFA from next year.
Parkside will recommence in the VAFA in Division 4 next season with seniors and reserves and the club has informed the VAFA that they also intend to field an Under 18 side too.
Parkside has a proud past in the VAFA, having previously competed in the Association from 1938-2002. In this time the club won a total of twelve premierships in various sections, highlighted by their 1988 Premier B (then B Section) premiership and their participation in A Section in 1989.
