VAFA umpire Tom Windlow has been named as the All Australian umpire at last week’s U23 AAFC Carnival in Tasmania.
Umpiring in William Buck Premier for a number of years, Windlow’s selection came as no surprise to the VAFA’s General Manager of Football and Umpiring Brian Goodman.
“Tom’s ability to build rapport with both players and fellow umpires is second-to-none,” Goodman said.
“He is always looking to develop and improve so it is fantastic to see him reaping the benefits of his hard work.”
Windlow is joined in the All Australian team by five Big V players; Simon Caven, Gabe Hamilton, Kelvin Williams, Tom Quinn and Josh Cowan.
All five players stood tall during all four matches and showcased the pride of the Big V jumper.
The VAFA would like to congratulate all six recipients on their achievements and wish them all the best for the remainder of the 2015 VAFA season.
