The VAFA congratulates Melbourne University midfielder, Lauren Collis, for her Round 3 Women’s Rising Star nomination after her starring performance over the weekend.
What the club said:
“Lauren is new to Melbourne University Women’s Football Club this year playing her first season as a senior with a few years of experience as a junior player under her belt.
Lauren is a hard-nosed midfielder with excellent speed. She’s not afraid to win the ball in the contest and then spread away and send the ball deep into attack, similar to a Jack Steven (St Kilda).
Lauren’s strengths are her attack on the ball and her willingness to run hard to help her teammates out around the ground. You can always tell Lauren on the football field because of the bright pink helmet she wears during each game.”
