Round 10 produced a mix of tight contests and dominant performances, with Old Carey also claiming an important victory to remain in touch with the top four. With only a handful of rounds remaining, every result is becoming increasingly significant in the race for finals.
Oakleigh 1.2 (8) def by Old Carey 1.10 (16)
Old Carey claimed an eight-point victory over Oakleigh, prevailing in a tight contest.
Neither side was able to gain complete control throughout the afternoon, with the game developing into a defensive battle, making every shot on goal extremely valuable.
Oakleigh remained within striking distance until the final siren, but Old Carey capitalised on their opportunities to secure an important four points.
Lia Kelvie was outstanding for Old Carey, controlling the contest and helping the Panthers maintain the upper hand throughout the afternoon.

Marcellin maintained second spot on the ladder after surviving a spirited Whitefriars challenge to claim a dramatic one-point victory.
The Eagles were pushed all afternoon by a determined Whitefriars outfit, with neither side able to establish a decisive break.
In a contest where every score proved crucial, Marcellin did just enough to hold on and preserve their place among the competition’s leading sides.
Bridie Feehan stood up when it mattered most for Marcellin, producing an influential performance in one of the games of the season.
Bella Giannangelo was equally impressive for Whitefriars, leading from the front as the Friars pushed the Eagles right to the final siren.
The narrow victory keeps Marcellin within striking distance of ladder leader Power House, while Whitefriars can take confidence from a performance that showed they can match it with one of the competition’s best teams.
Monash Blues 1.4 (10) def by Power House 5.4 (34)
Power House further cemented their place at the top of the ladder, with a commanding 24-point victory over Monash Blues.
In a clash between two finals contenders, Power House controlled the contest from start to finish, limiting the Blues to just one goal while consistently creating opportunities in attack.
Grace Read was once again among Power House’s most influential players, playing a pivotal role in another polished performance from the ladder leaders.
Samantha Rodgers never stopped competing for Monash Blues and fought hard throughout the afternoon despite the result.
The victory was another statement performance from Power House, who continue to set the benchmark heading into the final rounds.
Despite the defeat, Monash Blues remain fourth on the ladder and in a strong position to feature in the finals.
Ormond 10.13 (73) def La Trobe University 0.3 (3)
Ormond produced the performance of the round with a dominant 70-point victory over La Trobe University.
Ormond controlled the contest from the opening bounce, piling on 10 goals while restricting La Trobe to just three behinds in a ruthless four-quarter display.
Maddi Wilson was the standout performer, producing a best-on-ground display as Ormond dominated around the contest and surged to one of its biggest wins of the season.
Despite the difficult afternoon for the Trobers, Makayla D’Angelo never stopped competing and battled hard from the opening bounce until the final siren.
The result keeps Ormond firmly in third place and maintains pressure on the top two. La Trobe University remains eighth but will look to take positives into the closing weeks of the season.
With Power House remaining on top ahead of Marcellin and Ormond, the race for the double chance is beginning to take shape.
Monash Blues continue to occupy fourth position, while Old Carey remains within reach of the finals places. Whitefriars, Oakleigh and La Trobe University will all be looking to finish the season strongly as the home-and-away season enters its final stretch.
